Bookwitch

The witch only had to look at the cover of There’s An Ouch In My Pouch, to fall in love. The adorable face of Willaby the wallaby, who’s upset because of the ouch in his mum’s pouch, is absolutely irresistible. The irresistibleness is entirely due to Garry Parsons’ illustrations.

Mind you, reading the rest of this picture book isn’t bad either. Jeanne Willis has rhymed her way through some very Ozzie animals, with a lot of boingy boingy, which will make this a very good read-aloud book.

And I have no-one to read it to!
