I admit it. I am fond of sleep. Not loads of it, necessarily, but some, some of the time. Last night I posted half a day’s worth of book festival. And before I know it, it’s actually time to run for another train for more fun. (Whether fun on the train or not, I’m unsure.)
Can’t leave you with nothing (although I’m going to an event on Nothing this afternoon), so here is a lovely photo of the lovely Fabio Geda as he discovers he is in fact in the presence of the Bookwitch.
(For more action in the shape of photos, go to Photowitch – who clearly does not believe in sleep – and ogle.)

I read ‘nothing’ in proof, and we have Janne coming to the school I work in to talk to some of the students – I’d be interested to know what you thought of it. Personally I thought it was a stunning book, a very chilling roller-coaster that went somewhere I didn’t even want to think about. There were parts of the book where I really wanted to put my hands over my eyes! I know reviews have been very mixed, and I suspect I’m going to have to watch out for parental over-anxiousness when I start lending it. I’d love to read your views.
I reviewed Nothing a couple of weeks ago, if you want to go back in time and look. I read half of the book before chickening out…
Personally I feel many/most young readers will be OK with the subject, and that their parents needn’t know.
I hope to have the post on the event up tomorrow.
