Chivalry

One of the reasons I’m glad to be back in the UK, are the lovely children’s authors. I’m not saying that writers in other countries aren’t great, but I do like ‘my own.’ If I may be so bold as to think of UK authors in those terms.

There was a bit of cyber bullying happening earlier this week. Not aimed at me, but still.

Three extremely kind writers jumped into action when they found out. I will forever think of them as my three musketeers (I always did love musketeers), who fought with words instead of swords (I wish that rhymed better than it looks as if it would).

They were attacked more viciously than I’d have thought ‘acceptable’ but still they rolled up their sleeves and stood with their backs to each other and did their thing.

(The bully? Well, he shrank until there wasn’t much left in the end.)

It is very much appreciated, and I know that everyone else here would most likely have done the same.

  1. Cryptic, but gallant all the same. All for one, and one for all.

  2. Had to be cryptic, but had to be mentioned.
